Paying homage to the founder and owner of Social Status’s hometown of Pittsburgh, the store has teamed up with Just Don on a pair of shorts. Led by designer Don C, the Chicago native’s Just Don label is known for its iconic basketball shorts and has a long history of collaborating with top streetwear brands. This collaboration is part of the Whitaker Group’s COLOR CODE program, a collaborative program for designers and black and minority brands to create exclusive products in partnership with experiential group brands such as A Ma Maniére and Social Status.
Made from 100% polyester, these mesh basketball shorts feature prominent Steelers branding to the front. The Steelers logo and name are embroidered and if the gold and black colors of the shorts haven’t already revealed it, people will definitely notice the connection to the football team. Additional embroidery is included on the back with the Just Don logo resting above two zipped pockets. Side hem slits, an adjustable waist and two side pockets complete the details.
For those looking to pick up a pair, they’re available now for US$400 via Social status.
